Blue Rinse is Lydgalleriet’s own live electronics concert series, going since 2017. The intention of Blue Rinse is to create an inclusive performance space where sound artists can meet and share performance techniques, to facilitate a space where artists can try out new performance ecologies and develop approaches to expressing digital, analogue, acoustic and amplified sounds, – building relations that stretch beyond the local. Since the pandemic hit in 2020, the physical concert series was put on hold, and in its’ place we initiated a series of written papers as a supplement and alternative to the live series. Blue Rinse Papers are written responses to the overhead quote, as open-ended starting points into articulations and experiences from first-handedly working with and through sound as an artistic medium.
