𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐲 by Hanan Benammar collects scanned notebook pages from the project of the same name, which has been performed since 2014 in English, Norwegian, Dutch, Italian and Icelandic. This publication was performatively produced at the new National Museum in Oslo in August 2022 as part of the opening exhibition 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙩.
𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐲 is an answering service that takes over an art institution’s phone number. Callers can choose among a variable amount of words. The conversations can be short or long, they can be pleasant, abrupt or interrupted. You can call at any time, participants may be available or not available. None of the conversations are recorded, but the project participants are taking notes in a dedicated notebook, which becomes the only documentation of the piece.
Hverdag Books is a micro press and self-publishing studio, est. 2016. Hverdag publishes unique and experimental editions for and about the everyday. We regularly attend art book fairs, give workshops and lectures on riso and self-publishing, offer design services, and are open for all sorts of collaborations. Hverdag was founded by Jessica Williams and is currently located on Jeløy in Moss.
